Future Energy is currently engaged in the early planning phases of a proposed wind farm in Yallourn, Victoria. The township is located in the Latrobe Valley approximately 131 km south east of Melbourne.
The site, being cleared farming land, provides easy access for construction and minimum disruption to the local environment. If the wind farm goes ahead, all farming activity will continue unchanged.
All planning and feasibility studies for the proposal will be based on a wind farm of three (3) wind turbines. The total capacity will be approximately 6 megawatts with the energy being fed into the local electricity grid. The wind farm will produce enough energy for over 3,400 homes.
