Future Energy Pty Ltd is working with the Hepburn Community Wind Park Co-Operative Ltd (Hepburn Wind) to establish the a new, community-owned wind park, situated in the Shire of Hepburn within 10 kms of Daylesford.
Future Energy and Hepburn Wind are committed to investigating all aspects of the Wind Park to ensure the final project is one which gives pride to the local community.
Hepburn Wind is committed to taking responsibility for their local energy needs and making a local contribution to reducing global warming.
It is expected that the Hepburn Community Wind Park will provide enough energy to power over 2,000 homes, roughly equivalent to all of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
The establishment of this Community Wind Farm is in accordance with Hepburn's Sustainable Tourism policy.
