How We Work

The projects that we seek to develop may have been identified as a result of our own corporate ‘prospecting’ activities or may have been brought to us by a third party group. Our development project plan is outlined below and is similar in each case:.

Site identification and execution of landholder agreement to secure site
Initial liaison with local community (and community action group if one exists) to ensure common understanding of objectives and proposed outcomes
Initial high level feasibility/viability analysis to identify significant issues which could preclude the granting of a permit or impede potential grid connectivity
Formal community and Council engagement to provide the maximum level of information and ongoing dialogue
Detailed consultancy studies and other necessary assessments to satisfy planning permit application requirements
Negotiation of grid connection with the network service provider for the area
Negotiation of power purchase agreement with an energy retailer
Following grant of planning permit, Future Energy may or may not be involved in the funding, construction and ongoing operation of the facility (project specific arrangements)
