Since its establishment in 2003, Future Energy has built an enviable reputation within the renewable energy industry for the quality and creativity of its projects and the integrity of its business dealings.
We ensure that landowners who own potential development sites are treated fairly and remunerated adequately. We work closely with planning and environmental consultants, engineers, power companies and, of course, local and state governments to ensure all planning and regulatory requirements are met. We place great importance on maintaining good relations with communities that may be impacted by our projects, and we seek their positive support wherever possible..
Future Energy is committed to creating investment opportunities in its projects for communities, landholders, and individual and corporate investors – very similar to the successful ownership models which are common in Europe. Our project at Leonards Hill near Daylesford is Australia’s first community-owned wind farm, and since the start of generation in July 2011 the two turbines have produced almost 18 GWh of energy.
Our next project at Chepstowe near Ballarat will see three turbines installed early in 2014, and represents another opportunity for investment in a low risk infrastructure project that can be expected to offer increasing returns as the 2020 Renewable Energy Target approaches. Other projects are also under development in our pipeline and will be offered for investment in due course.
